In 24 hours, nine teams will attempt to take the next step in making their Word Cup dreams a reality. The Semifinals will be competed in three separate matches and this time only the winners will advance to the Word Cup Final. That means the competition will be more intense than ever between the remaining teams. Sections 1, 7 and 903 were all winners in their Second Round matches, so they have been awarded the top seeds in each semifinal, but their rivals will be desperate to knock them out of the competition.
Interestingly, three teaching pairs are emerging as vocabulary powerhouses. Dan & Jerome, Jane & Tuba and Peter & Don all have two classes still competing for the cup. Will one of them have what it takes to win the prize?
The word list has been available since last Thursday, but it isn't too late for students to get ready for tomorrow's big games. Here are the matchups.
